Intel’s imminent release of the 14th Gen laptop processors is gaining attention, especially with the high-end variant Core Ultra 9 185H recently making a spectacular appearance. Images showcasing vital specifications of the upcoming Core i9 CPU, based on the 14th-Gen Meteor Lake architecture.
Although the initial leak from Weibo has been removed, the images persist on X. This reveal showcases the internals of an upcoming Samsung-based Meteor Lake laptop and provides intricate specifications of the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H through the CPU-Z app.
The initial discovery of this information was credited to hardware leaker @9550pro on X, formerly known as Twitter. Notably, prior leaks also featured details regarding the Galaxy Book 4 laptop lineup, wherein the Core Ultra 9 processor was referenced.
Regarding the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, the leaked information indicates a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 45W. Notably, the P-Core speed is noted at 5087.86MHz, indicating a potential boost speed of up to 5.10GHz. Additionally, the leak specifies a core configuration of 6P+8E+2LP.
Intel’s Meteor Lake architecture adopts a hybrid performance structure, integrating P-cores, E-cores, and introducing a new type known as Low-Power Island (LP) cores.
According to the leak, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H will boast 16 cores and 22 threads, aligning with the specified configuration. Moreover, the leak showcased CPU-Z Benchmarks and included a die shot of this specific 14th Gen CPU. However, notable amounts of thermal paste were evident in the die shot, as the original leaker did not clean it before capturing the image.
Fascinatingly, the Meteor Lake CPU exhibits distinct markings reminiscent of the tile structure depicted by Intel for Meteor Lake.
Reportedly, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H achieved a score of 767.2 points in the Single-Core test and 8096.9 points in the multi-core test. It’s important to note that these scores are preliminary and were conducted on an early engineering sample within an unreleased Samsung laptop. Intel’s upcoming AI Everywhere event is slated to take place soon, serving as the official platform for the launch of their new Meteor Lake CPUs.
The upcoming launch of the first Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake laptops by different OEMs is anticipated to unveil additional details post-release. Meteor Lake promises a wealth of exciting features, notably including the Arc-based Meteor Lake GPU, a specialized NPU Chip for AI processing, and a notably enhanced ‘Intel 4‘ manufacturing process. These aspects stand as the highlights of Intel’s 14th Gen processors.
