Asus has introduced a high-performance RTX 4090 graphics card. If you thought Nvidia’s flagship GPU with 24GB of GDDR6X memory was already impressive, this new card takes performance to the next level. Here are all the details:
Asus ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 Launched
The RTX 4090 is Nvidia’s most premium graphics card, featuring DLSS 3.5, 3rd-gen RT Cores, AV1 codec support, and more. Asus, an AIB partner, has introduced a new model that utilizes water cooling instead of traditional air cooling. This approach significantly reduces GPU temperatures and includes a complete water cooling assembly with the GPU.
So, how does the Asus ROG Matrix edition perform? It has already set several world records! The Asus ROG Matrix RTX 4090 is currently the top-performing single GPU, excelling in benchmarks such as 3DMark’s Time Spy Extreme (24,349 points) and 3DMark Port Royal (31,980 points), among others.
This water-cooled variant operates much quieter compared to air-cooled GPUs, such as the Maxsun 5-Fan RTX 4090 we previously reviewed. The Asus ROG Matrix RTX 4090 offers:
- Boost clock speeds up to 2700MHz
- Liquid metal thermal interface material (TIM) instead of conventional thermal paste
- 360mm All-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler with 700mm tubing
- Custom-engineered cold plate with optimized coolant flow rate
- Magnetic fans with daisy-chain support
- Premium power delivery with a 12VHPWR power connector
