Xiaomi is gearing up for an exciting event on August 14, where they have quite a lineup in store. Alongside the highly anticipated new foldable Mix Fold 3, the impressive 2-in-1 Android tablet Pad 6 Max 14, and an upgraded Pro version of the Band 8 wearable, there’s more to look forward to.
Adding to the excitement, the Redmi brand is stepping onto the stage with the debut of the premium Redmi K60 Ultra. Confirming earlier speculations, the Xiaomi subsidiary’s Weibo page not only verified the presence of the Dimensity 9200+ chipset but also unveiled the device’s design.
The Redmi K60 Ultra’s display will boast a 144 Hz refresh rate and offer a 1.5K resolution, a descriptor commonly used by Chinese manufacturers for their 1220p displays. Interestingly, it’s worth noting that both the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro feature a 1440p panel, making the Ultra a slight step down in terms of resolution.
Additionally, this new entrant will introduce a variant with an impressive 24 GB of RAM and a whopping 1 TB of storage. This milestone sets a new benchmark, making it the first non-gaming smartphone to offer such extensive memory. Notably, this surpasses the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is slated to make its debut later this month.
With these exciting developments on the horizon, Xiaomi’s event promises to be a showcase of innovation and cutting-edge technology across its diverse range of products.
