Xiaomi recently revealed its forthcoming EV technology stack, set to power their SU7 electric sedans. Today, the Chinese tech giant introduced its intelligent AI-powered technology, poised to revolutionize the driving experience within Xiaomi vehicles. In addition to the impressive on-paper specifications of the Xiaomi SU7, the company unveiled HyperOS for automobiles, tailored for a human-centric interaction among individuals, vehicles, and home devices.
The vehicle-focused HyperOS experience aims to seamlessly integrate all gadgets, devices, and the electric car itself to construct a comprehensive ecosystem. Here’s a detailed rundown of the HyperOS features integrated into the Xiaomi SU7 EV sedans.
AI-Enhanced Intelligent Driving Experience
Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO, outlined that HyperOS encompasses five key features: Comprehensive Refactoring, Interconnectivity, Proactive Intelligence, End-to-End Security, and an Open Platform. Together, these elements aim to deliver a sophisticated cabin experience akin to those found in luxury cars. To realize this interconnected experience, Xiaomi has internally developed its technology stack.
The company has crafted Xiaomi Pilot to pioneer an autonomous driving experience characterized by precise and intelligent perception. Utilizing AI, hardware components, a robust data engine, scene detection, and various other systems, Xiaomi has constructed a connected and hyper-intelligent EV. On the hardware front, the Xiaomi SU7 integrates LIDAR, high-definition cameras, mmWave radar, ultrasonic radar, a gyroscope, GNSS, and high-performance computing chips.
Xiaomi has engineered an end-to-end sensing and decision-making AI model, proficient in predicting driving behavior, executing real-time AI road modeling, environmental modeling, and a host of other functions.
Furthermore, this AI system facilitates smart parking, intelligent driving, safety enhancements, and intuitive interactions. In addition, the Data Engine comprises Shadow Mode, a 4D Truth Data System, and a high-capacity supercomputing training cluster.
HyperOS Empowers Smart Cabin in Xiaomi EVs
The culmination of these innovations results in an exceptionally advanced and intelligent driving experience. At the forefront is an expansive 16.1-inch 3K screen in the front, complemented by the option to install a Xiaomi tablet or an iPad in the rear. Additionally, a sizable 56-inch HUD display remains impressively bright even under harsh sunlight. Powering this suite is the Snapdragon 8295 automobile chipset.
HyperOS operates seamlessly within both the external environment and the cabin. For instance, it dynamically showcases raindrops on the screen when it’s raining outside and adjusts brightness accordingly during nighttime. The user interface employs app-like widgets that offer flexibility in movement and resizing. Key applications such as maps, music, and spatial environments are prominently displayed on the screen, allowing for smooth multitasking.
Much like smartphones, you can swipe down to access the control center, allowing adjustments to your seat or temperature. The interface also enables mirroring your phone’s display on the screen and seamless app movement between both devices. Furthermore, it facilitates video calls, pinning phone apps to the front screen, engaging in chats on the larger display, connecting a keyboard, and more. Xiaomi continually vets and approves HyperOS-compatible car apps to enhance UI interaction and adaptability.
Performance-wise, HyperOS impresses with its speed, launching the operating system in just 1.49 seconds. It also supports individual drive modes and seamlessly integrates Apple CarPlay and AirPlay. As for OTA updates, installing new updates takes only 30 minutes.

I loved even more than you will get done right here. The picture is nice, and your writing is stylish, but you seem to be rushing through it, and I think you should give it again soon. I’ll probably do that again and again if you protect this walk.
