While WhatsApp updates its Android and iPhone apps monthly, the web client has lagged behind. However, it has just received an important update featuring a new dark theme available to all users.
If you use WhatsApp Web regularly, you’ll notice the new dark theme, which resembles that of the desktop app. It replaces the previous palette with a deep black that enhances the green accents in the interface.

Additionally, the top search bar is now rounded, and some UI elements have been adjusted for a more compact layout, aligning better with the themes on Android, iPhone, and desktop versions. Besides the new theme, there are no significant changes.
All your options, chats, communities, and status updates remain in their usual places, so you won’t feel lost with the new design. I eagerly await the introduction of new chat themes for the web client, as that would allow for greater customization and a more unified experience across devices.
The rollout of this new theme is gradual, so if you haven’t received it yet, you should see it soon. Do you use WhatsApp Web? What are your thoughts on the new theme? Let us know in the comments below.
