The Vivo X100 series made its debut in China last November, hinting at an imminent launch in India. The India launch was officially confirmed in December, and today, on January 14, 2024, the Vivo X100 series has officially landed in India. This release introduces the flagship X100 and X100 Pro phones to the subcontinent.
While we previously had a comprehensive understanding of the specifications from their China launch, the India release now also unveils the pricing details. So, without delay, let’s delve into the specifics.
Vivo X100 Pro Specifications
The Vivo X100 Pro stands as the pinnacle model in the series, featuring a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display incorporating LTPO and PWM dimming technology. This impressive screen offers a swift 120Hz refresh rate and reaches an astounding peak brightness of 3,000 nits, delivering a resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels.
Operating on FunTouchOS 14 with Android 14 right out of the box, this smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, the second-gen hardware raytracing-supported chipset. Accompanying this powerful processor is 16GB of RAM and a generous 512GB storage capacity. To sustain this performance, the device houses a sizable 5,400mAh battery complemented by 120W fast charging support.
The camera setup on the X100 Pro consists of a formidable triple rear configuration. This array includes a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and the industry’s first ZEISS APO Certified floating 50MP telephoto camera sensor. The telephoto sensor introduces a remarkable 4.3x optical zoom capability to the device.
Vivo X100 Specifications
The Vivo X100, a slightly more restrained variant compared to the Pro model, maintains the impressive 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, offering similar features to its Pro counterpart. This display boasts PWM dimming, high resolution, and an equally remarkable peak brightness.
Under the hood, the X100 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, just like the Pro version. It comes paired with up to 16GB of RAM and offers a storage capacity of up to 512GB. The device also operates on FunTouchOS 14 with Android 14 right out of the box.
However, the primary distinction lies in the camera setup. Instead of the 50MP telephoto 4.3x sensor featured in the Pro model, the X100 showcases a 64MP periscope telephoto sensor with a 3x optical zoom capability. This sensor is accompanied by a 50MP wide-angle sensor and another 50MP primary sensor. Additionally, the Vivo X100 houses a slightly smaller 5000mAh battery but supports respectable 100W fast charging.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X100 Pro enters the market at Rs 89,999 for its single 16GB+512GB variant in India. Meanwhile, the standard Vivo X100 offers a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 63,999, and there’s a higher configuration of 16GB+512GB variant available for Rs 69,999.
Pre-orders for both models commence today (January 4) and will be available through Flipkart, Vivo’s online store, and offline retail outlets.
Undoubtedly, the Vivo X100 Pro stands out with its remarkable camera setup. Additionally, compared to last year’s Vivo X90 series, the X100 series boasts larger batteries in both models, promising enhanced performance.
With the impending launch of the OnePlus 12 series in India, it’ll be intriguing to see how the Vivo X100 series stacks up against it. Share your thoughts in the comments section about Vivo’s latest flagship offering!
