A few weeks ago, we reported that Samsung was gearing up to launch the One UI 7 update in April, but an exact release date was still unknown. Now, the wait is finally over! Samsung has officially confirmed the rollout date, and it’s sooner than expected.

According to a recent blog post on Samsung’s newsroom, One UI 7 will start rolling out on April 7. As anticipated, the Galaxy S24 series, along with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, will be the first to receive the update. Following this initial wave, the update will gradually expand to other flagship and premium devices, including the Galaxy S24 FE, S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Tab S10 series, and Tab S9 series.

This update introduces a host of changes, including visual tweaks to icons and various parts of the UI. Live Activities are now more prominent on the Now bar, and the Camera app has been redesigned with more accessible controls. As expected, Samsung’s AI enhancements continue to evolve, bringing more smart features to the software. Additionally, for those who love customization, new Good Lock features exclusive to One UI 7 will be available.

The One UI 7 beta program kicked off back in December for Galaxy S24 devices, leading many to expect a stable rollout alongside the Galaxy S25 series. However, Samsung delayed the update, citing the need for further refinements.

While this delay broke Samsung’s streak of rapid software updates, it’s reassuring to see that One UI 7 is finally arriving. With just a few weeks left until its release, Samsung users can soon experience all the new changes firsthand. Are you excited about One UI 7? Let us know in the comments below!
