Surprising Chipset Details Leaked for Samsung Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series in early 2024, and as the release date approaches, the rumor mill is in full swing. The latest information hints at the choice of chipset for the upcoming smartphones, and it suggests that Samsung might be returning to a strategy it used in the past. Let’s take a closer look at what this could mean for the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series to Offer Two Chipset Options

As per information from The Elec, Cristiano Amon, the CEO of Qualcomm, has dropped hints about a potential collaboration between Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. This strategy appears to be a return to the partnership model used in the past. During a recent earnings meeting at Qualcomm, Amon indicated that Qualcomm is anticipating a significant presence in the Galaxy S24 series.

Although not a definitive confirmation, this information implies that the entire Galaxy S24 series may not feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. Instead, there may be an Exynos 2400 variant available in certain regions. The Exynos variant could be targeted at the European and Korean markets, while the Snapdragon variant may be offered in other markets, including North America.

The information suggests that the Galaxy S24 and the S24+ may feature the Exynos 2400 chipset, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, these details are not confirmed, so it’s advisable to remain cautious and wait for official information to emerge.

Just to recap, prior to the Galaxy S22 lineup, Samsung utilized both Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets. However, the strategy changed with the Galaxy S23 series, which was equipped with the specially-made Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, featuring an upgraded GPU. The latest leak suggests that the Galaxy S24 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC with a 1000MHz GPU. While the GPU clock speed of the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is not specified, it might be higher for the Galaxy S24 phones.

The Galaxy S24 series is expected to feature camera and other improvements while maintaining a similar design to its predecessor models. These devices may also have a titanium build, similar to the iPhone 15 Pros, and come in Black, Gray, Violet, and Yellow color options. Furthermore, it’s speculated that the phones will launch a bit earlier than usual. However, since there are no official details available, it’s advisable to await further information. We’ll provide further updates as soon as we obtain more substantial information, so stay tuned.
