Seasonic has just unveiled the Vertex Sakura, a special edition power supply based on their Vertex GX-1000 model, designed for desktop systems with a power output of 1000 watts. The Vertex Sakura GX-1000 has captured my admiration with its stunning design, making it arguably the most visually appealing power supply I’ve come across.
This special edition boasts a cherry blossom theme, featuring a striking pink and white color scheme that sets it apart from anything else on the market. Furthermore, it is a fully modular PSU, with sleeved cables sporting the same eye-catching color combination, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.
While other power supplies may focus on RGB logos and gamer-centric aesthetics, the Seasonic Vertex Sakura leans towards elegance. Its cooling fan, a 135mm unit, features a Sakura flower design, adding to its unique appeal.
The PSU boasts 80 Plus Gold certification and adheres to the ATX 3.0 standard. It is also PCIe Gen 5 ready, equipped with a 12VHPWR (16-pin GPU power) connector. As expected from Seasonic, this power supply is highly reliable and comes with a 12-year warranty. The box mentions support for various protections, including OPP, OVP, SCP, UVP, OTP, and OCP.
Seasonic VERTEX GX-1000 Special Edition Sakura: Pricing & Availability
The Seasonic Vertex Sakura GX-1000 is a limited edition product that will be discontinued once stocks are depleted. According to Japanese media outlet GDM.or.jp, Seasonic plans to release this power supply in mid-February 2024. While it appears to be initially exclusive to Japan, there’s a possibility it may become available globally.
Priced in the “mid-30,000 yen range” (approximately $200 USD), the Vertex Sakura GX-1000 has already attracted attention, with samples showcased at PC Shop Ark, a retailer of PC components in Japan.
