Samsung Teases Exynos 2600 As Its Next Chipset For Flagship Phones

The industry’s first 2nm mobile processor is nearing launch and may soon drive the next Galaxy S series devices.

Samsung has been quietly and consistently developing the Exynos 2600 chipset for its 2026 flagship smartphones. While competitors like Qualcomm and MediaTek have already unveiled their top-tier processors, Samsung remained silent—until now. The company has officially begun hinting at its upcoming flagship SoC.

Exynos 2600 aims to mark Samsung’s comeback

Samsung’s official YouTube channel recently released a 30-second teaser video for the Exynos 2600 mobile chipset. The clip is intentionally mysterious and builds anticipation for a major announcement. It features the message: “In Silence, We listened. Refined at the Core. Optimized at every level. To express the exceptional. The next Exynos is coming. It’s time to express the exceptional.

As of now, Samsung has not disclosed any technical specifications or an official launch date for the chipset. Still, one key detail stands out—Exynos 2600 is expected to be the world’s first commercially available 2nm processor.

According to reports, the chipset will be fabricated using Samsung’s advanced 2nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) manufacturing process. It is also rumored to adopt a deca-core CPU layout similar to the Exynos 2500, likely following a 1+3+6 core arrangement and integrating the Xclipse 960 GPU.

In terms of performance, leaked Geekbench scores for the Exynos 2600 indicate results comparable to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This suggests Samsung has invested significant effort into ensuring its in-house flagship processor can compete at the highest level in 2026.

Regarding device integration, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are expected to feature the new Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is still anticipated to rely on a Snapdragon processor.

However, reports hinting at a possible delay in the Galaxy S26 series launch mean it could take some time before the Exynos 2600 appears in commercial devices. That said, with official teasers now live, more information is likely to surface soon.
