RedMagic 11 Pro Featuring Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 To Launch On October 17

Nubia has officially announced that the RedMagic 11 Pro series will launch in China on October 17, 2025, at 2:30 PM CST (12:00 PM IST). The gaming-focused smartphones will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and an upgraded cooling system for enhanced performance.

The company confirmed the launch date and chipset details through its official Weibo account. This comes as no surprise, as a Geekbench listing last month had already revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as the powering chipset for the RedMagic 11 Pro.

Teasers suggest the RedMagic 11 Pro will come with a redesigned ICE cooling system that includes water cooling support. The series is also expected to feature a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display with low touch latency, ideal for gaming. Nubia’s upcoming lineup is likely to include both the RedMagic 11 Pro and RedMagic 11 Pro+.

While official details are limited, leaks indicate the phones may house an 8,000mAh battery, a 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Following the recent launch of Xiaomi’s 17 series—the first devices with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5—Nubia will join other upcoming smartphones powered by the flagship chipset, including the iQOO 15, OnePlus 15, and more.
