Reanimal A Terrifying Successor to the Little Nightmares Franchise

Let’s be honest we’ve been eagerly anticipating Little Nightmares 3 for what feels like forever. However, after concluding the original two stories, it appears Tarsier Studios has chosen a new direction. At Gamescom 2024, the creators of Little Nightmares unveiled their new game, Reanimal.

The trailer reveals familiar landscapes of horror, reminiscent of what we’ve come to expect. However, with Reanimal, Tarsier Studios is steering its horror-cozy genre in a new direction. While retaining some familiar elements, the game introduces several new mechanics that we will encounter for the first time in Reanimal.

The trailer progressively delves into darker territory with each frame, indicating that Tarsier Studios aims to maintain the familiar tone while adding a new layer of gore and intensity in Reanimal. Back in 2017, Tarsier Studios made a significant leap with their successful debut of Little Nightmares, followed by a sequel that completed the story arc. However, they’ve since moved on from the shadow of Bandai Namco.

With Little Nightmares 3 now in the hands of Supermassive Games, it might not capture the same essence as when it was under Tarsier Studios. However,*Reanimal could provide that familiar, cozy horror vibe we’re craving. You can already add Reanimal to your wishlist, and it will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

As we eagerly anticipate the release of Reanimal, the blend of cozy horror elements is truly intriguing. Are you excited about this new direction? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
