Qualcomm could soon expand its Snapdragon 8 lineup with two new flagship processors. According to a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, the company is preparing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Pro and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
Codenamed SM8735 Pro, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Pro is said to deliver “Turbo” performance, likely through higher clock speeds and enhanced efficiency. This approach is similar to Qualcomm’s earlier “Plus” editions, which offered incremental boosts over standard flagship chips.

Alongside the Pro variant of the 8s Gen 4, Qualcomm is also preparing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (SM8845), tipped to debut in late 2025. Often referred to in leaks as the Snapdragon 8s Elite, the chipset will succeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and act as Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship processor.
Reports suggest it could be a toned-down version of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite 2), sharing the same architecture but tuned for broader adoption. Improvements are expected across the board, including raw performance, energy efficiency, and AI processing power. Industry watchers expect this chipset to feature in premium mid-range smartphones from leading OEMs in 2026.
If both chipsets launch as rumoured, Qualcomm would significantly diversify its Snapdragon 8 series, giving OEMs greater flexibility. While the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Pro could target high-performance flagships, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 would position itself as a bridge between ultra-premium and mainstream flagships — helping smartphone makers differentiate their offerings more clearly.
