It may arrive in India with a MediaTek processor that’s nearly three years old.
In September 2025, Poco introduced the C85 5G in Europe. However, the brand hasn’t confirmed its release in other regions yet. Now, the phone has appeared in a Google Play Console listing, hinting at an upcoming India launch.
Poco C85 5G could launch in India soon
As reported by The Tech Outlook, the Poco C85 5G has been spotted on the Google Play Console platform with the model number 2508CPC2BI. It also carries the codename “tornado”. The “I” at the end of the model name is believed to signify “India”, suggesting Poco is preparing to bring the C85 as its next budget device.

Interestingly, the listing reveals the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset for the phone. This is an unexpected selection since this SoC debuted back in 2023. It powered several well-known 2024 models such as Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, Realme Narzo 70x 5G, and others.
Seeing such an old chipset appear in a 2025 handset is surprising, especially when the European C85 variant uses the newer MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra. Therefore, the accuracy of this listing remains uncertain for now, so the information should be taken cautiously.

The listing also notes Android 16 and a 720 × 1,600-pixel screen resolution, suggesting an HD+ display. It even shows a front-facing render with a waterdrop notch and a noticeably thicker chin.
Based on the European version, the phone may also include the following features:
- 6.9-inch HD+ 120 Hz LCD display
- Android 15-based HyperOS 2
- 6,000mAh battery with 33W USB-C charging
- 50 MP primary camera and 8 MP front camera
- IP64 rating
Currently, there is no official information regarding the device’s India release. If it does launch, it is expected to be priced around ₹12,000.
