Pictures of Canceled Nvidia’s RTX 3090 Super GPU Leaked

Nvidia introduced the GeForce RTX 3090 as the flagship offering within the RTX 30 series graphics card lineup, utilizing the powerful Ampere architecture. Reflecting on the past, Nvidia had previously launched the Super edition GPUs in 2019, which were essentially enhanced versions of their existing RTX cards. These Super variants included the RTX 2070 Super, 2060 Super, and others, with later transitions to Ti variants. Surprisingly, recent leaks suggest that Nvidia had plans for a potential GeForce RTX 3090 Super card, but it ultimately never materialized.

Nvidia’s Canceled RTX 3090 Super Graphics Card Revealed

Nvidia decided to forgo the ‘Super‘ branding within the RTX 30 series, which had initially led to some confusion regarding the “RTX 3090 Super” GPU. To simplify, this GPU was essentially what the RTX 3090 Ti was referred to before the ‘Ti‘ suffix was officially settled upon.

Previously, rumors circulated about this graphics card, but they were largely dismissed once the ‘Ti‘ variant was officially released. However, these rumors contained some truth, as there did exist an RTX 3090 Super that some individuals had caught glimpses of and subsequently leaked. Now, we have the opportunity to examine this unreleased “Super” iteration of Nvidia’s top-tier RTX 30 series graphics card:

The Nvidia 3090 Super Founders Edition is the highlight here, featuring an eye-catching all-black design. Even the X frame of this canceled FE GPU boasts an entirely black paint finish. Similar to other FE graphics cards from Nvidia, this RTX 3090 Super incorporates the Dual Axial Flow fans. It appears that only a handful of prototypes of this now-scrapped graphics card made it into the hands of a few fortunate individuals. Fortunately, we now have the chance to take a closer look at it!

It’s worth noting that the actual released graphics card did not feature an all-black color scheme, as seen in the pictures of the canceled ‘RTX 3090 Super.’ The images showcase a unique aesthetic that ultimately did not reach the market.

What is your opinion regarding the canceled ‘Super‘ version of Nvidia’s RTX 3090 GPU? Do you have a preference for the all-black design? Feel free to express your opinions in the comments area down below.
