OnePlus’ Ace series comprises budget devices primarily released in China. Outside China, the “V” series is known as the “Nord” series, and models with just a numerical designation are called the “R” series. The company has recently introduced the latest addition to the series, named the OnePlus Ace 3V, which will soon be released as the OnePlus Nord 4 in other regions. Here’s a comprehensive overview.
OnePlus Ace 3V Specifications
Let’s start with the performance specifications, as they are the main highlight of the OnePlus Ace 3V. It is the world’s first phone to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, along with faster UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is a quad-core SoC featuring a Prime Cortex X4 core at 2.8 GHz, four powerful Cortex A720 cores at 2.6 GHz, and three Cortex A520 efficiency cores at 1.9 GHz. It is expected to perform similarly to the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which has a similar core setup. One of the key features of these SoCs is their built-in AI capabilities.
On the display side, the Ace 3V boasts a 1.5K 120Hz OLED display with support for 2160Hz PWM dimming. It’s a 6.7-inch center punch-hole unit offering up to 1,100 nits of brightness and a maximum peak brightness of 2150 nits.
In terms of cameras, the phone sports a dual-camera setup. The primary camera is a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, while the second is an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide with a 112° FoV. The front camera is a 16 MP unit.
The phone is powered by a 5,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. It also features OnePlus’ signature alert slider. The back camera module resembles Sony’s design, with a slight protrusion and a border around the cameras. The frame of the device is made of plastic, and its overall design is similar to the OnePlus Nord 4, which will soon launch in the subcontinent.
The OnePlus Ace 3V comes out of the box with Android 14 based on ColorOS 4. The company has committed to providing three major updates and four years of security patches. Additionally, the phone boasts an IP65 rating for protection against splashes and dust, an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and an IR blaster.
OnePlus Ace 3V Pricing and Variants
The Ace 3V is available in three storage variants: 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB, priced at ¥1999 (~$277), ¥2299, and ¥2599, respectively. It comes in two colors: Titanium Space Gray and Phantom Purple Silver.
