NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super Now Available for Purchase; Check Where to Buy

Nvidia’s Super refresh of the RTX 4080 has arrived, and here’s where you can find it for sale, along with the different available models. The RTX 4080 Super was launched at CES 2024 with a price tag of $999. While I’ve generally been disappointed with this GPU generation, the RTX 4080 was initially launched at $1199, so it’s refreshing to see the price cut. Some RTX 4080 Super GPUs may be more expensive, particularly the top-of-the-line models that come factory overclocked.

The RTX 4080 Super is available in a variety of designs from various brands, including Asus, PNY, Gigabyte, MSI, and more. Asus has introduced the Strix, TUF Gaming, and ProArt series of RTX 4080 Super cards. Meanwhile, Gigabyte offers the Windforce, Gaming OC, Aorus Master, and Aero series for this GPU.

Microstar International (MSI) has offerings such as the Ventus, Expert, and the highly sought-after Suprim X series. Zotac provides the Trinity and AMP Extreme editions of the RTX 4080 Super. RTX 4080 vs RTX 4080 Super

If you have a thousand-dollar budget, Nvidia’s new RTX 4080 Super is undoubtedly one of the best GPUs to consider. The RTX 4080 Super comes equipped with 16GB of GDDR6X memory. Compared to the RTX 4080, the newer card offers a 5% increase in CUDA Cores, boasting 10,240 in total. Additionally, the RTX 4080 Super features faster 23Gbps memory, an improvement over the 22.3Gbps found in the non-Super version.

The performance gap between the RTX 4080 Super and its non-Super counterpart isn’t significant. Nvidia’s gaming benchmarks comparing the RTX 4080 Super to the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 2080 Super indicate a modest improvement. According to Nvidia, the RTX 4080 Super is approximately 2 to 5 percent faster than the non-Super variant across different games.

Although the Nvidia RTX 4080 Super is a powerful graphics card, it may not be the ideal choice for those seeking the best value for their money. Consider looking into alternatives such as the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT or the Nvidia RTX 4070, especially since the latter has received a price cut following the launch of the RTX 4070 Super.
