Nothing recently announced that it would unveil two new audio products in its quarterly community update video on April 18th. The company has altered the naming scheme for its audio lineup, naming the upcoming products the Nothing Ear and Ear (a), instead of the previously anticipated Nothing Ear (3) and Nothing Ear (Stick2). Fresh leaks regarding the new Nothing Ear have surfaced, providing comprehensive details about them.
Android Headlines leaked images of the Nothing Ear and Ear (a), indicating that the latter will be available in Yellow. The design of the Nothing Ear appears identical to the Ear (2), featuring the same transparent case and earbuds. Both black and white variants of the earbuds display the “NOTHING ear” engraving.
The presence of a yellow variant suggests a possible partnership between Nothing and Playdate, a distinctive console created by Panic. Nothing had previously teased with a new Frog mascot and the text “Play Date,” which now seems to be connected to this development.
Rumors suggest that the Nothing Ear may be priced at around €150, approximately $160, while the Nothing Ear (a) could cost around €100, roughly $110. Both devices are rumored to feature an IP54 rating and Active Noise Cancellation. The Ear is said to last for 33 hours with the case, while the Ear (a) could last for 38 hours, both with ANC turned off. These are early rumors, so it’s advisable to take them with a grain of salt.
What are your thoughts on the pricing of the Ear and Ear (a)? Do you think they might be a bit expensive for a pair of TWS earbuds? Share your opinions in the comments below.
