Last month, Motorola introduced the Moto Edge 50 Pro in India, featuring the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. This time, they’ve unveiled the Moto Edge 50 Fusion, which is a more affordable variant powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. Despite being a toned-down version, it retains some of the admirable qualities of its superior, such as the leather finish at the back and a sleek lightweight design. Let’s delve into the full list of specifications and pricing.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Specs
The Moto Edge 50 Fusion is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, manufactured using a 4nm process. It offers performance comparable to the previous-generation Snapdragon 778G SoC. The processor is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
In terms of software, the device runs on Android 14 with the new Hello UI skin out of the box. Motorola promises 3 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches, which is a commendable update policy compared to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo in the same segment, which only offers 2 years of OS updates.
In terms of design, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion is available in Marshmallow Blue, Hot Pink, and Forest Blue color options. However, it’s important to note that the Forest Blue variant of the Moto Edge 50 Fusion features a plastic back, while the Marshmallow Blue and Hot Pink variants come with vegan leather rear panels. The device is impressively slim, measuring just 7.9mm in thickness.
Moving on to the display, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion features a 6.7-inch FHD curved pOLED panel. The display boasts a fast 144Hz refresh rate, a 10-bit color depth, and is capable of reaching peak brightness of 1600 nits. For protection, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used. Additionally, the display supports HDR10+ and offers 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
In the camera department, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary QPD sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It is accompanied by a 13MP secondary ultra-wide-angle sensor, which also supports macro photography and 4K video recording. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front-facing camera that can also record in 4K resolution.
In terms of connectivity, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and includes support for 15 5G bands. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery and supports 68W TurboPower fast charging.
