It’s been some time since Microsoft introduced its first wave of Copilot+ PCs in partnership with Qualcomm. Following this, Intel and AMD joined the fray with their own AI chipsets, further expanding the Copilot+ lineup. However, there was a notable difference: while Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs boasted certain advanced features, AMD and Intel versions were left behind in some areas. That changes today, as Microsoft has announced the rollout of all Copilot+ features to AMD and Intel PCs.

In a blog post published today, Microsoft announced that it is expanding Copilot+ features to AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Core Ultra 200V processors features that were previously exclusive to Snapdragon X Elite powered Copilot+ PCs. Windows Experiences Corporate VP, Navjot Virk, stated:

The Copilot+ features being rolled out include Live Captions, Cocreator, Restyle Image, and Image Creator. Additionally, new Voice Access capabilities, which were initially available only on Snapdragon X-powered laptops, are set to arrive later this year.

Microsoft has not provided any details on when or if the latest Insider feature, Semantic Search, will roll out to AMD and Intel-powered Copilot+ PCs. However, given the ongoing expansion of Copilot+ features, it seems likely that this functionality will be included in a future update.

According to Microsoft, the new Voice Access capabilities will enable users to interact with their PCs using “more descriptive” language, making voice commands more intuitive. Additionally, the company highlights that it will be the first to fully leverage the NPUs in Copilot+ PCs for enhanced AI-driven experiences.
