One of the key Copilot+ features, Microsoft’s Recall, was previously pulled due to serious security concerns. The feature exposed personal information due to an unencrypted SQLite database, posing a significant security risk. However, Microsoft appears to have addressed these issues and is now re-releasing the Recall feature for Windows Insiders.
In a blog post announcing the rollout of Windows 11 build 26100.3902, Microsoft confirmed that the preview version of Recall is being made available for supported Copilot+ PCs. The update also includes Click to Do, with some features being exclusive to Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ devices.

For those unfamiliar, Microsoft Recall uses the powerful NPUs in Copilot+ PCs to function as a digital memory. It periodically takes screenshots, enabling users to “recall” their past activities by converting the information in those screenshots into natural language.
The new build introduces a gesture for accessing Click to Do. Additionally, Microsoft is rolling out another Copilot+ feature, Semantic Search, which enhances Windows search across the Start menu, File Explorer, and Settings through contextual search. Recently, Microsoft also expanded Semantic Search to include AMD and Intel-powered Copilot+ PCs.
In addition, Phone Link can now appear as a companion in the Start menu, displaying recent phone calls, SMS messages, and photos. It also allows you to share content between your smartphone and PC. Another new feature, Windows Share, lets you make quick edits like cropping, rotating, and applying filters before sharing images via the Windows Share window.
Although the build is available, some features may not appear immediately, as they are being rolled out gradually. What do you think of the Recall feature? Share your thoughts in the comments!
