As we approach Microsoft’s Surface event in May, where the first Snapdragon X Elite laptop is expected to be unveiled, new leaks are emerging from various OEMs. An X user has leaked information about the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 2024 laptop, which is rumored to feature the highly anticipated Snapdragon X Elite processor.
The images leaked depict the Snapdragon X Elite laptop’s slim and lightweight design, in line with Lenovo’s Yoga Slim series reputation. Notably, the laptop features a Copilot key for instant access to the AI chatbot on Windows 11. Microsoft’s plan for “AI PCs” includes a dedicated Copilot key in upcoming models. Additionally, the Windows 11 signature Bloom wallpaper is showcased with a new gradient variation.
Note that the internal specifications of the laptop remain undisclosed at present. Nevertheless, it’s intriguing to note that leading laptop manufacturers are gearing up to introduce laptops featuring the Snapdragon X Elite processor by June 2024. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge, rumored to be equipped with the SD X Elite chipset, was spotted on Geekbench.
Online leaks have also revealed the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s featuring the Snapdragon X Elite.
Two additional Geekbench listings have surfaced for a Lenovo laptop (LENOVO 4810UV0100) running the SD X Elite processor. While we can’t confirm if it’s the same Yoga Slim 7 model, its performance is noteworthy. With a single-core score of 2,427 and a multi-core score of 14,254, these ARM-based Windows laptops appear poised to rival the latest Apple MacBooks.
Now, anticipation mounts as we await Microsoft’s revelations on May 20. Rumors indicate that Microsoft plans to introduce the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 equipped with the SD X Elite chipset for consumers. Surprisingly, there won’t be any Intel-based Surface laptops available for consumers this time.
