FSL, a major name in the gaming sector, recently introduced STEPN GO, an application that turns daily activities like walking, jogging, and running into enjoyable and rewarding experiences.
STEPN GO incentivizes users to maintain an active lifestyle by awarding them with a digital currency known as the Go Game Token (GGT) based on their physical activities. Additionally, the app introduces a feature where users can earn another currency, GMT, by participating in player versus player (PvP) challenges.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the STEPN app, which was launched in 2021, quickly gained popularity in the emerging ‘Move and Earn’ sector of web3 fitness apps. STEPN GO aims to elevate this concept further. The original app boasts a user base of over 5.6 million and features over 1 million Sneaker NFTs.
In response to user feedback, STEPN GO incorporates several community-suggested enhancements. These improvements include the “Haus System,” which allows users to lend their Sneaker NFTs to friends and family, enabling them to benefit from earnings as well.
Another noteworthy addition is the ‘Interactive Map,’ which enhances user interaction by encouraging connections between players, allowing them to add friends and exchange messages during app activities.
The Alpha Version of STEPN GO is set to debut in the third quarter of 2024. During the launch phase, there will be a Sneaker NFT Alpha Prize Draw, distributing 3,000 digital sneakers to participants who commit their GMT tokens. Participation in this event is limited to FSL ID holders.
