Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy S24 series on January 18, according to leaks, shedding light on color variations and several specifications. However, recent leaks have divulged crucial insights into the software advancements Samsung is brewing, particularly in AI. Samsung aims to rival Google by introducing new AI functionalities in the Galaxy S24 series, presenting an exciting development to explore.
In an unintentional move, major US retailer Walmart prematurely listed the Galaxy S24, unveiling additional details about the S24 Plus. The listing discloses specifics about the 256GB storage option with 12GB RAM, coupled with a 6.7-inch 2K display. This leak offers a glimpse into Samsung’s upcoming offering.
The active listing still includes a “Product details” section, showcasing nearly all the essential features of the S24 series. Samsung seems to be emphasizing AI features extensively, drawing parallels to those integrated into the Google Pixel 8 earlier in the year. This revelation was initially noticed and reported by Roland Quandt on X (formerly Twitter).
Among these features, Live Translate appears straightforward, having been an exclusive feature for Pixel devices since the Pixel 6 launch. The Generative Edit feature bears resemblance to Magic Editor based on its description. Meanwhile, Nightography Zoom seemingly hints at improving zoomed shots in low-light conditions.
The image above unveils the Galaxy S24 series’ slogan: “Epic, just like that.” Reflecting on the past, the S23’s slogan was “Experience NOOOW.”
Regarding the functionality of features like Generative Edit and other AI functionalities, it remains unclear whether they operate directly on the device or if media is sent to Samsung’s servers for processing before being returned. While it seems plausible, only time will provide a definitive answer.
As for the Galaxy S24 series and its unfolding launch, it’s shaping up to be an intriguing release. The integration of AI features reminiscent of those seen on the Google Pixel 8 suggests Samsung’s commitment to innovation. What are your thoughts on the S24 series and the unfolding launch?
