Recent updates confirm the imminent arrival of an Honor smartphone, with the official launch date now set for this month. The Honor 90 is set to make its debut soon in India. Here’s what we know so far.
Honor 90’s Indian Launch on the Horizon
Honor Tech has officially confirmed that the Honor 90 is scheduled to launch in India on September 14 at 12:30 pm. The company has also provided some initial insights into the phone, noting that it’s already available in the Chinese market.
The smartphone is set to feature a formidable camera setup with a 200MP triple rear camera configuration and a powerful 50MP front-facing camera for stunning selfies. This camera setup will put it in direct competition with recently launched smartphones like the Infinix Zero 30 5G, which also boasts a 50MP front camera. The device will also sport a Quad-Curved Floating display, generously sized at 6.7 inches. This display will offer a sharp 1.5K resolution, impressive peak brightness of 1600 nits, and a suite of eye protection features, including risk-free dimming, dynamic dimming, low blue light mode, circadian night display, and automatic dimming adjustments in low light conditions.
Under the hood, you can anticipate the smartphone to be powered by the capable Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It will be equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging technology, ensuring quick and convenient recharging, among other impressive features.
Honor has officially confirmed that the Honor 90 will be powered by MagicOS 7.1, which is based on Android 13. This OS is designed to offer an enhanced cross-platform and cross-device experience, allowing devices running different operating systems to connect at a system level. The Honor 90 5G will introduce features such as HonorShare for seamless file sharing between the phone and PCs, MagicText for text recognition in images, the Honor Health app, and more.
Furthermore, the Honor 90 will be sold through Amazon, with a dedicated microsite already in place. However, pricing details have yet to be disclosed. It is anticipated that the Honor 90 will be positioned as a mid-range smartphone. For a comprehensive rundown of all the details, stay tuned until the official launch of the Honor 90 next week.
