Google has rolled out three major updates for its Veo video generation models, aiming to make the platform more accessible to creators and developers. The company has cut prices by 50% and added support for high-quality video generation along with a new aspect ratio.
From today, Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast will support vertical videos with a 9:16 aspect ratio and high-definition 1080p video generation. The updated pricing now stands at $0.40 (around ₹35) per second for Veo 3 and $0.15 (around ₹15) per second for Veo 3 Fast, down from the previous rates of $0.75 and $0.40, respectively.

Google says the new vertical video support is designed for social media and mobile-first content. Creators can now select a 9:16 aspect ratio, making it easier to upload directly to platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. The upgrade from 720p to 1080p also enables higher-quality video production.
Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast are now deemed stable for scaled production, allowing developers to handle larger workloads and applications. Google also demonstrated a new MediaSim app that combines Gemini’s multimodal features with Veo 3, enabling the creation of interactive media simulations.
In addition to Veo 3 updates, Google has expanded AI Mode with new languages using a custom Gemini 2.5 model. The company also introduced the Nano Banana image editing model to Gemini, which lets users edit or creatively transform photos using simple prompts.
These updates highlight Google’s push to make its AI tools more accessible and versatile. More announcements are expected in the coming months, so further developments are on the horizon.
