Google Teases Pixel 8 Pro Details Ahead of October Launch

With Google’s confirmation of the Pixel 8 series launch on October 4, we’re getting closer to the official unveiling. As anticipation builds, almost-official details have emerged about the elder sibling, the Pixel 8 Pro, shedding light on its design, potential color choices, and more. Let’s explore the information available at the moment.

Confirmation of Pixel 8 Pro Design Emerges

Google has provided a sneak peek into the Pixel 8 Pro through 3D renders on its Pixel Phone Simulator website, as discovered by Dylan Roussel on X. These renders confirm several design aspects, aligning with earlier leaks.

Notably, the Pixel 8 Pro features rounded edges, departing from the flat ones seen in previous iterations. The rear camera setup resembles that of the Pixel 7 series. The front boasts a center-positioned punch-hole camera with remarkably thin bezels, though they haven’t disappeared entirely. Furthermore, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be available in three color options: Sky, Porcelain, and Licorice.

In addition to these design revelations, a SIM card tray is now visible on the Pixel 8 Pro, contrary to previous rumors suggesting Google might opt for eSIM technology exclusively. One of the most intriguing features is the likely inclusion of a body temperature sensor positioned at the back of the device, adjacent to the camera strip and below the flash. This sensor, which has been the subject of prior rumors, would require users to bring the device close to their forehead to record body temperature.

While these details provide some insight, many aspects of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro remain undisclosed. Both phones are expected to feature the Tensor G3 chipset, bringing various performance and camera enhancements. The Pixel 8 is anticipated to offer a 6.17-inch display, while the Pixel 8 Pro will likely sport a larger 6.7-inch display. The storage choices may extend up to 512GB.

As the launch date approaches, more comprehensive information is expected to emerge. Stay tuned for updates, and feel free to share your thoughts on the Pixel 8 Pro’s design in the comments below.
