In addition to the eagerly awaited Pixel 9 series and the buzz around AI, Google has unveiled the Pixel Buds Pro 2 after a two-year hiatus. The new earbuds come with upgraded internals, enhanced noise cancellation, improved battery life, and some exciting AI-powered features. Let’s dive into what’s new with the Pixel Buds Pro 2, including their specs and pricing.
Google Pixel Buds Pro 2: Specifications
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 maintain the familiar in-ear design of their predecessors, with a few tweaks such as a larger mesh to reduce wind noise. They feature a custom 11 mm dynamic driver and Google’s Tensor A1 chip, which supports Find My Device.
Each earbud is equipped with three microphones, enhancing Clear Calling and active noise cancellation through what Google is calling Silent Seal 2.0. The earbuds provide up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC activated and up to 30 hours with the charging case. With ANC off, you get an additional 4 hours of use with the earbuds alone, and 48 hours with the case.
The side of each earbud includes a capacitive touch sensor for controlling playback, answering calls, and adjusting the volume. The new Pixel Buds Pro 2 are lighter than their predecessors and allow for hands-free interaction with Google’s Gemini AI.
Google Pixel Buds Pro 2: Pricing
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are priced at $229 and come in four colors: Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen, and Peony. You can purchase them from the Google Store or Flipkart in India.
