Google Pixel 9a Specifications And Price Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Rumors about a budget-friendly Pixel 9a have circulated for months, with some features and an early release date seemingly confirmed. Now, the complete specifications for the Google Pixel 9a have emerged.

According to Android Headlines, the Pixel 9a will feature a Tensor G4 processor with a Titan M2 security chip, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone features a 6.285-inch Full HD plastic AMOLED Actual display with Gorilla Glass 3, offering a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and HDR brightness of 1,800 nits.

For cameras, the rear will sport a dual-sensor setup, including a 48MP Samsung GN8 quad-pixel primary lens with an f/1.7 aperture and a 13MP Sony IMX712 ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture—identical to the front camera.

The Pixel 9a will feature a 5,100 mAh battery, larger than the Pixel 8A’s 4,492 mAh, with improved wired charging at 23W and unchanged wireless charging at 7.5W. Its dimensions will remain similar to the Pixel 8A at 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9mm, and it will weigh 185.9 grams.

Additionally, the leaked spec sheet mentions an IP68 rating, USB Gen 3.2 support, Bluetooth 6.0, DisplayPort 1.4a video output, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The device will come in Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony colors, starting at $499 for the 128GB model, with an additional $50 for the mmWave Verizon variant.

The Pixel 9a is priced the same as the Pixel 8A, which struggled in the market, possibly influenced by the Pixel 8’s price drop. However, with the Pixel 9a set to release in March, it could be a great, budget-friendly, and compact alternative to the base Pixel 9. Are you excited about these specs for the next A-series Pixel?
