Genshin Impact is set to make its biggest leap in the game’s history with the release of version 5.0 on August 28. Xbox players, who have been waiting on the sidelines, will finally get their turn to join the adventure. This major update introduces the new region of Natlan, and Hoyoverse is making sure it’s well-promoted. During Gamescom 2024, a new trailer showcasing Natlan’s visuals was revealed, but the biggest news came after the trailer: Genshin Impact is officially coming to Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass.
Genshin Impact Xbox Series X/S & Game Pass Launch Date
Genshin Impact is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass on November 20, 2024, which will likely mark the beginning of the second phase of the 5.0 version update. While the game has been available on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile for nearly three years, Xbox users have been left out until now, as have players of other Hoyoverse titles. Hoyoverse seems to be ready to engage the Xbox audience, using Genshin Impact’s largest update to make a compelling debut.
In addition to the Xbox release announcement, the trailer also offered new visuals for Natlan. It gave us another glimpse of the three Natlan tribes set to debut in version 5.0: the Scions of the Canopy, the Children of Echoes, and the People of the Spring.
The trailer also featured three new characters in action against the new Natlan boss, Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant. That’s all the new content revealed in the Natlan Gameplay Trailer shown at Gamescom. Let us know in the comments if you’re excited about Genshin Impact’s arrival on Xbox Series X/S!
