Cyberpunk 2077 is continuing its stream of updates, and the developer has just announced a highly anticipated feature that was originally promised. With the upcoming 2.1 update, the game will introduce a comprehensive metro system, fulfilling a request that fans have been eagerly anticipating. But that’s not the only addition coming in the 2.1 update.
News of the Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 content update was recently unveiled during a RED stream. CD Projekt Red developers detailed what players can expect from this update. One significant addition is the implementation of a full-fledged metro system. Previously, players could only fast-travel between metro transit points and other areas. However, with this update, a fully operational metro system will be introduced. It becomes accessible after completing the Konpeki Plaza quest and will feature line-changing capabilities and more interactive elements.
Apart from introducing the metro system, the 2.1 update for Cyberpunk 2077 includes several additional changes. Notably, the boss fight against Adam Smasher has been revamped. The antagonist now incorporates moves inspired by the Edgerunners’ appearance, utilizing his Sandevistan to enhance speed and aggression, significantly raising the level of challenge during the encounter.
Moreover, the update brings various gameplay enhancements: players can now activate the radio while on foot, replay car races, access new vehicles, and explore expanded accessibility options. These updates promise a richer and more dynamic experience within the game.
The forthcoming update brings a wealth of quality-of-life enhancements, aligning Cyberpunk 2077 closer to its initially promised version and the pre-release discussions. This update also builds upon the improvements introduced in the previous updates from two months ago. The Cyberpunk 2.1 update is set to coincide with the physical release of the Ultimate Edition on December 5, 2023.
