Nothing Launches CMF Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2

Accompanying the CMF Phone 1 (review), Nothing’s sub-brand has introduced two new accessories: the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2, following up on their initial TWS and smartwatch launched last year. These latest models enhance CMF’s lineup of affordable accessories with enhanced features and improvements over their predecessors.

CMF Buds Pro 2: Specs and Features

The new Buds Pro 2 draws inspiration from the CMF Buds (review), featuring a square-shaped case with a physical wheel located at the top left. Unlike its predecessor, this wheel is not a lanyard-cable module but a customizable smart dial. It allows users to adjust volume and control media playback directly on the Buds Pro 2.

Through the Nothing X app, users can personalize the smart dial’s functions, such as toggling noise cancellation, activating the voice assistant, enabling low lag mode, and more.

Internally, the CMF Buds Pro 2 features a dual driver system comprising an 11 mm bass driver and a 6 mm micro-planar tweeter. It incorporates Dirac Opteo and Ultra Bass Technology 2.0. These earbuds support standard audio codecs including AAC, SBC, and LDAC within this price range.

The latest CMF model features Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, offering up to 50 dB reduction across a frequency range of up to 5000 Hz. The built-in Adaptive Mode adjusts ANC levels automatically based on ambient noise levels. For calls, the earbuds utilize CMF’s Clear Voice Technology 2.0 with a 6-microphone setup to deliver clear and crisp sound.

In terms of battery capacity, the Buds Pro 2 is equipped with a 460 mAh battery in the case and each bud has a 60 mAh capacity. CMF claims that with ANC off, the earbuds and case can last up to 43 hours, reducing to 26 hours with ANC or Transparent mode activated. For detailed real-life test results, refer to our CMF Buds Pro 2 review.

Using Type-C wired charging, you can fully charge the earbuds and case from 0 to 100% in just 70 minutes. Charging the earbuds from 0 to 100% within the case takes approximately 60 minutes.

In terms of connectivity, the Buds Pro 2 supports Bluetooth 5.3, Dual Connection, with a range of up to 10 meters. It can pair with devices running Android 5.1 and later, or iPhone models running iOS 13 and above. Additionally, features like Low Lag Mode, Find My Earbuds, and Spatial audio support are included.

The CMF Buds Pro 2 is offered in Dark Grey, Light Grey, Orange, and Blue color options, available for Rs 4,299 on Flipkart.

CMF Watch Pro 2: Specs and Features

The Watch Pro 2 features a redesigned circular frame, departing from the square dial of its predecessor. It features a smaller 1.32-inch always-on AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, capable of reaching a brightness of 620 nits.

CMF’s latest smartwatch is housed in an aluminum alloy case that supports interchangeable bezels. It includes a functional crown that opens the watch’s menu with a press and facilitates navigation through rotation. For customization, the watch allows easy strap swapping between liquid silicone and leather options, adapting to various occasions.

The Watch Pro 2 provides more than 100 watch faces to choose from, ranging from dynamic videos to static designs with always-on elements. Its native software allows users to customize complications on the watch face to display key data such as weather, steps, and calories. The watch includes customizable widgets that can be swiped between to control features like weather updates, music playback, fitness tracking, and scheduling.

For health monitoring, the Watch Pro 2 features heart rate and SpO₂ blood oxygen sensors that track stress levels, sleep patterns, menstrual cycles, and more. It also includes built-in GPS support, an accelerometer, ambient light sensors, and CMF’s Smart Movement Algorithm and Training-goal setting to enhance activity tracking capabilities.

The smartwatch offers support for up to 120 sports modes and can automatically detect and commence activity tracking without manual input. For a comprehensive look at its fitness features and user experience, check out our detailed CMF Watch Pro 2 review.

The Watch Pro 2 is equipped with a 305 mAh battery, promising up to 11 days of usage under optimal conditions. Charging from zero to full takes approximately 100 minutes using the included cable. It carries an IP68 rating, ensuring waterproof capability when submerged up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

The device supports connectivity with iPhones running iOS 13 or newer, and Android devices running Android 8.0 or higher, via Bluetooth 5.3 and the CMF Watch app. It features a microphone + speaker unit for making Bluetooth phone calls and can store up to 30 contacts.

The CMF Watch Pro 2 is available starting at Rs 4,999 for models with a liquid silicone strap in Dark Grey and Ash Grey. Versions with Blue or Orange leather straps are priced at Rs 5,499. Additionally, you can opt for a strap + bezel combo for Rs 749.
