CES 2025: Intel Launches Arrow Lake Core Ultra 200HX, 200H, And 200U Laptop Processors.

At CES 2025, Intel unveiled its new mobile Arrow Lake processors within the Core Ultra 200HX, 200H, and 200U series. The Core Ultra 200HX series targets high-performance gaming laptops, the 200H series is designed for premium thin-and-light laptops, and the 200U series focuses on battery efficiency.

These new designs mark a departure from the one-off Lunar Lake processors (Intel Core Ultra 200V). The Core Ultra 200HX series features six SKUs with 14 to 24 CPU cores, clock speeds ranging from 5.1GHz to 5.5GHz, and an integrated NPU capable of up to 13 TOPS, making them ineligible for Copilot+ PC features. They also include four GPU cores and will launch alongside discrete GPUs, likely Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 50-series. Intel claims the Core Ultra 200HX processors will offer nearly 5% improvements in single-core performance and about 20% better multi-core performance compared to Raptor Lake-H Refresh processors.

The Core Ultra 200H series consists of five SKUs with 14 to 16 CPU cores, peak frequencies from 4.9GHz to 5.4GHz, and a GPU count of 7 cores for the lowest SKU and 8 cores for the others. The series has a base TDP of 28W, except for the Core Ultra 9 285H, which can increase its power limit to 45W.

Intel anticipates approximately 15% improved CPU performance in single-core tasks compared to Meteor Lake chips. The power-efficient Core Ultra 200U series has a base power of 15W and can reach up to 57W with Turbo boost, featuring 12 CPU cores and clock speeds up to 5.3GHz.
