After much speculation and anticipation, Apple has officially disclosed the launch date for the Vision Pro. According to the official press release, the Vision Pro will be accessible for purchase at Apple Retail stores in the US starting from February 2, 2024.
Contrary to earlier speculations about restricting the Vision Pro to only physical stores, Apple has confirmed that the Vision Pro will also be obtainable through the US Apple Store online, with pre-orders commencing on Friday, January 15, 2024.
During the WWDC 2023 event where Apple unveiled the Vision Pro, the tech giant had already disclosed the pricing at $3,499. The press release now reveals that the base variant of the Vision Pro will feature 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore, ZEISS Optical Inserts for individuals wearing spectacles will be priced at $99, and custom inserts with prescriptions will be offered at $149.
The Apple Vision Pro will offer users a choice between two band options – Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band, allowing them to opt for the band type that ensures maximum comfort and a secure fit. Apple has provided a detailed breakdown of the box contents for the Apple Vision Pro, including Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, an Apple Vision Pro Cover for the device’s front, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C Charge Cable, and USB-C Power Adapter.
In a recent development highlighted by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Vision Pro has started arriving at warehouses, and Apple retail store employees are scheduled to participate in a 3-hour-long meeting on January 21. The meeting aims to provide them with comprehensive insights into the device and its demonstration for potential buyers.
