M4 iPad Pro: Specifications and Features
The all-new OLED iPad Pro combines enhanced power with a thinner and lighter design. Apple’s latest Pro iteration boasts a fresh design, robust internals, and slightly larger 11-inch and 13-inch screen options. The 11-inch model measures 5.3mm in thickness, while the 13-inch model is a mere 5.1mm thick, making it the thinnest Apple product to date. With its refined aesthetics, the new iPad Pro exudes a more luxurious look than ever before.
As expected, Apple opted for the more capable M4 chipset over the M3 for the latest Pros. Both models are driven by the brand-new M4 chipset, touted as an “outrageously powerful chip for AI.“
A standout feature of the 2024 iPad Pro is its Ultra Retina XDR OLED display, utilizing two panels in a tandem design to deliver superior fullscreen brightness. The new Pro offers up to 1,000 nits of brightness for SDF and HDR, along with a peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits. This translates to perfect blacks, rich color saturation, enhanced luminance, and greater detail. Additionally, the new iPad Pro boasts improved responsiveness to content in motion.
Just like the 2024 iPad Air, the new OLED iPad Pro’s enclosure is made from 100% recycled aluminum. For those who prefer a matte display finish, Apple now offers a nano-texture coating option with the 2024 iPad Pros. In terms of color options, the latest iPad Pro models are available in Silver and Space Black finishes.
The new iPad Pros also received an accessory update. The Magic Keyboard now features a premium finish with an aluminum palm rest, along with a function key row.
