Funimation’s merger with Crunchyroll has solidified the platform as the go-to destination for anime enthusiasts, boasting a vast library of over 1,000 shows and movies. Recent additions like “Solo Leveling” and “Kaiju No. 8” further enhance its appeal. Despite its popularity, Crunchyroll has lacked a key feature: the ability to create multiple profiles. However, after much anticipation, this feature is finally on its way.
In a recent announcement, Crunchyroll revealed that the long-awaited “Multiple Profiles” feature will begin rolling out before the end of the month. This feature will be exclusive to Crunchyroll Premium members.
Premium members will be able to create up to five profiles within a single household, allowing multiple users to enjoy their favorite anime without affecting each other’s viewing preferences. This update is a welcome addition for many subscribers, including myself.
In addition to the introduction of multiple profiles, the platform will also be rolling out the following features:
1. Users will now be able to select their own avatars for their profile icons.
2. Enhanced parental control features will be made available.
3. There will be separate Crunchyroll-curated lists.
4. Each profile will receive more personalized recommendations.
This feature has been highly anticipated by Crunchyroll fans for quite some time. Finally, Crunchyroll has listened to the feedback and responded today. Now, we can relax and enjoy streaming all our favorite guilty-pleasure anime without the need to share our profile with friends.
