Growing levels is a common aspect of gaming, and Valorant follows suit. While initially lacking a leveling system, Riot Games introduced the account-level feature in later game patches. This feature allows you to monitor your progress as it increases with each game played. However, if you prefer to keep this information private, Valorant provides an option to conceal your account level from others. Here’s a guide to hiding your account level.
Hiding Account Level on Valorant
- Launch Valorant and navigate to the Collection section.
- Locate your Player Card positioned on the right-hand side and select it.
- In the subsequent window, access the Level Borders tab.
- Look for the “Show my account level on my player card” option at the bottom right and deselect the checkbox.
Reasons to Hide Your Account Level on Valorant
In Valorant, various indicators showcase your game experience, such as your rank, overall experience, or past act rank. However, being in a lobby with toxic players might lead to criticism if you underperform, especially if they notice your high account level and expect better gameplay from you.
Reporting such behavior is an option, but alternatively, hiding your account level prevents divulging your experience. This feature is also handy for playing unrated games discreetly, keeping your playtime and experience level private.
Changing the Account Level Border
Your player level in Valorant aligns with your account level, and you have the option to personalize the border displayed on your player card for your account level.
To customize this level border, head to Collections -> Player Cards -> Level Borders. Here, you can choose from the borders you’ve unlocked. Once you’ve picked your preferred border, click the “Equip Border” button to apply it.
To hide your Account Level, simply uncheck the box from its current state. If you wish to reveal it again, you can easily toggle it back on. Additionally, for increased privacy, you can also opt to appear offline on Valorant.
