Ascension Material Farming Guide for Xianyun
Ascension materials for Xianyun are conveniently located for farming with the right approach. Clearwater Jade and Cloudseam Scale, among others, are found in the new Chenyu Vale region. Here’s a detailed farming guide for each of Xianyun’s materials in Genshin Impact.
Farming Strategy for Clearwater Jade
Clearwater Jade is available in Chenyu Vale in Genshin Impact, and a location and farming guide has already been created for it. In Chenyu Vale, there are a total of 84 Clearwater Jades available. You can collect 70 of them from the map, purchase 5 from Fengtai at Yilong Wharf, and collect 9 by hitting the shattered Jade Jars around Yaodie Valley for a one-time collection.

Samachurl Scrolls are some of the easiest items to collect in Teyvat, commonly dropped by Samachurl enemies. The Sealed Scroll and the Forbidden Curse Scroll are accessible only after reaching certain level caps. Sealed Scrolls start dropping after level 40, while Forbidden Curse Scrolls start dropping after level 60.

Cloudseam Scale is acquired by defeating Solitary Suanni, the recently introduced boss in Chenyu Vale. This ancient Adepti possesses Anemo abilities. Upon defeating Solitary Suanni, you’ll receive Cloudseam Scale, the unique boss material for Xianyun.
Vayuda Farming Strategy and Turquoise Location
Vayuda Turquoise materials are obtained from battling bosses, and the higher rarity Vayuda Turquoise materials can be crafted using the lower rarity ones. To acquire them easily, engage in battles with the following bosses:
- Anemo Hypostasis
- Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network
- Maguu Kenki
- Setekh Wenut
- Solitary Suanni
- Dvalin
- Icewind Suite – Coppelia
- Scaramouche
It is recommended to farm Solitary Suanni because this boss also drops Cloudseam Scale, which is another ascension material for Xianyun.
Talent Books Gold: Farming Strategy
The Gold series books are utilized by many Liyue characters, so it’s no surprise that Xianyun requires them as ascension materials. These books can be farmed from the Taishan Mansion talent domain, which is available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom is a trounce material obtained by defeating the Shadow of Another World trounce domain boss, All-Devouring Narwhal, in Fontaine. The fight can be quite challenging, so make sure you are prepared for it.
