The Death Star is making its way to Fortnite, and thanks to a recent leak, fans can get a glimpse of what the iconic Star Wars battle station will look like in-game. Fortnite has faced its fair share of epic threats, such as Galactus in Chapter 2 Season 3, but now, the Galactic Empire’s deadliest weapon is set to invade the Island in an upcoming Star Wars-themed season.
This crossover, officially announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan, is called Galactic Battle and promises loads of fan service. Players can look forward to new skins, including Jedi Master Mace Windu and the infamous Darth Jar Jar a playful nod to the fan theory that Jar Jar Binks was secretly a Sith Lord all along. Of course, no Fortnite Star Wars event would be complete without the Death Star itself, the galaxy-crushing juggernaut first introduced in Star Wars: Episode IV : A New Hope, towering ominously over the battlefield.
Fortnite Leak Unveils First Look at the Death Star for the Star Wars Season
According to a post on X by well-known leaker @SpushFNBR, later confirmed by @ShiinaBR, “during the season, we will see the Death Star moving, with 4 phases.” While Fortnite has previously featured rotating map locations, characters, and themes within a season, this new twist suggests that the island might face an entirely new level of chaos.
Fortnite and Star Wars last teamed up on May 4, and fans can expect some iconic, star-studded cosmetics this time around. While we’ve already seen the Jedi Master and Darth Jar Jar teased, I’d love to see the return of classic skins that longtime franchise fans adore.
Though Fortnite hasn’t officially revealed details about Chapter 6, Season 3, multiple leakers have hinted that the upcoming season will be titled ‘Galactic Battle,’ drawing inspiration from the Star Wars universe’s iconic environment and gameplay. It only makes sense to have the legendary Death Star casting its shadow over the island throughout the season, unleashing its destructive power.
