“I, Focalors, hereby welcome you to the nation of Hydro,” were the noteworthy parting words of the “Hydro archon” after we managed to defeat her in the trial, saving our two newfound friends who later revealed themselves to be… sigh* Well, there’s much speculation surrounding Focalors or Furina in Genshin Impact and her suspicious role in the lore. More importantly, she’s set to be released in Genshin Impact 4.2, and what we CAN affirm about her is that her kit looks quite impressive and might entice you to pull for her. In this guide, let’s delve into some builds and weapons for Furina and also take a brief look at her talents and passives. Before you continue, take a look at our Furina pre-farming guide to familiarize yourself with her ascension materials and talents.
Furina Builds in Genshin Impact
The optimal build for Furina in Genshin Impact involves the 4-piece Golden Troupe artifact set paired with her signature weapon, Splendor of Tranquil Waters. Furina functions as an off-field DPS or support, and the Golden Troupe set is ideal as it enhances the damage of characters when off-field. The 2-piece Golden Troupe set provides a 20% boost to elemental skill damage, while the 4-piece further increases it by 25% when the character is on the field and an additional 25% when the character is not active.
- 4-piece Golden Troupe set (Excellent for off-field DPS and supporting Furina)
- 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set (A great alternative to Golden Troupe)
- 2-piece Golden Troupe + 2-piece Emblem of Severed Fate set (Effective for reducing Elemental Burst recharge time)
Given that a significant portion of Furina’s damage and healing relies on her HP scaling and Elemental Burst, it is crucial to prioritize stacking up HP and maintaining a decent amount of Energy Recharge for quicker Burst recharge. For Flower and Feather artifacts, prioritize Crit Rate, Crit Damage, HP%, and ER%. Sands and Goblets should feature HP% as the main stat, while the Circlet can have either Crit Rate or Crit Damage to fulfill her off-field Crit requirements.
The 4-piece Golden Troupe artifact set is an excellent choice for Furina, as it provides substantial Elemental Skill damage both when she is on the field and off the field. Given that her Elemental Burst plays a central role in her kit and scales with HP, maximizing her HP becomes essential.
Furina Talents
Furina possesses the ability to switch Arkhe’s forms, transitioning from Ousia to Pneuma, which alters her role from an offensive character to a healer. Let’s delve into her Talents and Passives to understand her capabilities better.
- Normal Attack – Soloist’s Solicitation: Furina executes four consecutive strikes, dealing physical damage. Her charged attack shifts her Arkhe Alignment from Ousia to Pneuma. The normal attack, based on her Arkhe alignment, causes a Surging Blade or Spirit Breath Thorn to descend, dealing Hydro damage.
- Elemental Skill – Salon Solitaire: Furina summons “Salon members” or “Singers of the Streams” depending on her Arkhe alignment. Ousia calls forth Salon Members, including a Ball Octopus-shaped Gentilhomme Usher, a Bubbly Seahorse-shaped Surintendante Chevalmarin, and an Armored Crab-shaped Mademoiselle Crabaletta. They consistently attack opponents, dealing Hydro damage. When attacking, if the character’s HP is above 50%, they consume it to boost their damage. The damage enhancement for HP consumed by the members from 1/2/3/4 characters is 110/120/130/140%.
- Pneuma-aligned: Furina releases Singers of the Stream, restoring HP to other characters based on Furina’s max HP. Both the Pneuma and Ousia-aligned members share a duration, even if Furina uses her charged attack to alter the Arkhe’s alignment. Therefore, summoning the singers while already having Salon members will result in a shared time limit.
- Elemental Burst – Let the People Rejoice: Furina inflicts AoE Hydro damage by generating foam based on her max HP. All party members enter the “Universal Revelry State.” In this state, with each increase or decrease in a character’s HP, Furina gains one “Fanfare Point.” This enhances overall damage and healing for the party member until the Fanfare points are exhausted.
Furina Passives
Furina Passives
- Passive 1 – The Sea is My Stage: Decreases the cooldown of Xenochromatic Fontemer Creatures by 30%.
- Passive 2 – Endless Waltz: When the active character in your party is healed and the healing overflows, Furina will heal the active character for 2% of their max HP for 4 seconds.
- Passive 3 – Unheard Confession: For every 1000 HP of Furina, the Ousia-aligned elemental skill damage of Salon Solitaire is increased, boosting the damage dealt by each member by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 28%. Similarly, for the Pneuma-aligned creature, it raises the active character healing interval of the Singer of Many Waters by 0.4%, up to a maximum of 16%.
