How to Acquire Copper Bar in LEGO Fortnite

Copper is a valuable resource in LEGO Fortnite, offering increased utility when transformed into copper bars. This resource enables you to upgrade your crafting bench to epic rarity and unlocks recipes for various items, including a rare longsword, epic forest axe, rare shovel, and an epic knight shield. Method 1: Making Copper Bar in Metal Smelter

1. Collecting Copper and Brightcore

To obtain a copper bar in LEGO Fortnite, you need to begin by finding copper and brightcores. These resources are exclusive to the lava caves in the Dry Valley (desert biome). Explore your map to identify dry and desolate areas, ensuring you keep yourself cool to endure the intense heat of the environment.

Upon reaching the lava caves, look for green and bronze-colored stones protruding from the cave ceilings or walls. Deeper into the cave, you’ll come across bright yellow brightcore stones near the lava. Utilize the Rare pickaxe to mine both types of stones, acquiring copper and brightcore.

Building the Metal Smelter will also require blast cores and obsidian slabs, which can be found in the same lava caves. Therefore, as you collect copper and brightcores, be sure to explore further to gather blast cores and obsidians.

2. Building a Metal Smelter

Once you’ve gathered all the necessary resources from the lava caves, you can proceed to construct the Metal Smelter. To build a Metal Smelter, you’ll need 15 brightcores, 35 obsidian slabs, and 3 blast cores.

• After obtaining the required ingredients, press the build button (Q on PC, Circle on PS, and B on Xbox).

• Choose the large grey machine with a hole in the middle from the options and place it on the ground with a click. This is the Metal Smelter.

3. Crafting Copper Bar

• Look towards the Metal Smelter and press the interact button (E on PC, Square/X on consoles).

• Select the copper bar recipe and click on quick deposit to input the ingredients. Use the + button (D-pad on consoles) to add the copper and brightcores to the machine.

• Once the processing is complete, click the Take option (W on PC, Y on Xbox, and Triangle on PS4/5).

Note: Keep in mind that 1 copper and 2 brightcores will yield one copper bar, and the machine allows a maximum deposit of 30 coppers and 50 brightcores at a time.

Method 2: Acquiring Copper Bar from Villagers

If crafting copper bars becomes a tedious task, you can enlist the help of your villagers by assigning them to the metal smelting job. • Choose the “Let’s talk jobs!” option from the chat menu.

• In the next prompt, choose “Refining Jobs.“

• Finally, select “Smelt Metal” to initiate the smelting job for your villager.

2. Collecting Copper Bar from Villager

After assigning a villager to the metal smelting job, they will require some time to produce the necessary materials. This process may take up to two in-game days, approximately 60 minutes in real-time. To retrieve copper bars from the villagers, follow the steps below:

• Approach the same villager you assigned the job to and press the interact button (E on PC, Square on PS, and X on Xbox).

• Select the “How’s your job?” option from the chat prompt.

• You will then see the resources available from the villagers. Choose the “Get Copper Bar” option to receive the copper bars, and they will be added to your inventory.

Note: Occasionally, leaving the lobby and rejoining it a couple of times may expedite the process. However, this trick may not be effective every time.
