FEVM FN60G Mini PC Has an Apple Mac Studio Inspired Design!

FEVM, a Mini PC manufacturer based in China, has unveiled its latest series, the FEVM FN60G Mini PC. This release stands out as a unique addition to the Mini PC market.

The FEVM FN60G Mini PC boasts a strikingly minimalistic design reminiscent of Apple’s Mac Studio. Clearly, FEVM aimed to provide users with their version of a PC Studio through this new product. Even the ventilation system, resembling that of Apple’s Mac Studio for enhanced cooling, is notably similar. However, the FN60G Mini PC goes a step further by incorporating additional ventilation holes along the sides, a feature absent in the Mac Studio.

It’s compatible with the latest Intel 14th Gen desktop CPUs and, due to its LGA 1700 socket, also supports Intel 13th Gen and Intel 12th Gen processors. However, the initial release won’t offer pre-installed 14th Gen CPUs; users can currently purchase it with 12th or 13th Gen CPUs.

The specifications page (via: JD.com) highlights an Intel B760 chipset motherboard for this Mini PC. Despite its capacity to accommodate desktop CPUs and facilitate CPU removal/installation, it’s essential to note that the system imposes a 100W power limit, restricting the use of any LGA 1700 CPU beyond this threshold.

The cooling system, facilitated by 4+4 heat pipes, is constrained to handling up to 100W. Consequently, it’s only compatible with non-K series Intel processors, such as the i7-13700/13700F and similar models with lower power thresholds.

The FEVM FN60G Mini PC offers versatile GPU configurations and supports cutting-edge features like PCIe 4.0 SSD, WiFi 6 connectivity, DDR5 RAM, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. Its power is supplied by a GaN-based power supply.

Available GPU options encompass the AMD Radeon RX 6600M (8GB), Intel Arc A380 (6GB), AMD Radeon RX 550 (4GB), and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 (8GB). While the RTX 4060 stands as the optimal choice, this specific model will be released at a later date.

FEVM FN60G Mini PC: Pricing & Availability

The FEVM FN60G Mini PC listings currently showcase options up to the Intel Core i7-13700F processor. The base model starts at 2599 RMB ($364) for a barebones unit devoid of RAM or storage. Opting for the RX 6600M GPU variant increases the price to 3499 RMB ($490). However, pricing details for the RTX 4060 model are yet to be disclosed.

While other variants are available for pre-sale, the CPU compatibility list excludes the new Intel Core Ultra processors, exclusive to laptops. Nevertheless, ASRock has introduced a Mini PC featuring a Core Ultra processor, which you can explore here. The realm of Mini PCs is brimming with exciting launches, and I’m thoroughly intrigued by it all!
