Dell’s Upcoming Intel 14th Gen XPS & Alienware Laptops Leaked Ahead of CES 2024!

CES 2024 is swiftly approaching, promising a showcase of cutting-edge technological innovations and new product unveilings. Dell, in particular, seems poised to make significant announcements at the event. A recent leak suggests that Dell is preparing to unveil a total of six new laptops featuring Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake. Among these anticipated releases are rumored to be updated XPS laptops and high-performance Alienware gaming models.

This leak surfaced from Windows Report, leveraging its exclusive source to disclose this information. Notably, the same source previously revealed details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Book equipped with Intel Meteor Lake CPUs.

Dell’s forthcoming laptops for 2024 are anticipated to showcase Intel 14th Gen mobile CPUs featuring two distinct architectures: Meteor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh. Reports suggest that both architectures could make an appearance in Dell’s upcoming lineup. Notably, Alienware represents Dell’s high-end gaming line known for its premium build quality, while the Dell XPS series emphasizes ultra-portability and extended battery life.

In the leak, specific attention is drawn to the refreshed XPS lineup. The XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16 laptops are all slated for updates. Interestingly, the larger XPS 16 is rumored to incorporate an Intel Core Ultra processor paired with RTX 40 Series graphics. The Core Ultra processor is reportedly based on Meteor Lake architecture, indicating that the larger XPS 16 might integrate the innovative features associated with Meteor Lake technology.

In the leaked information, the details about the Dell XPS 13 and XPS 14 suggest that these models might receive “new Intel CPUs,” indicating a more general upgrade. This could imply the incorporation of standard Intel Core processors (non-Ultra). Alternatively, they might adopt the Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh architecture instead.

Regarding the upcoming Alienware gaming laptop lineup for 2024, the leak mentions three new models with associated specifications. While the leak lacks clarity on the specific CPU and GPU variants to be included, it offers enough information to spur speculation about what might be anticipated.

  • Alienware m18 R2
    • Intel Core 14th Gen CPU & RTX 40 Series GPU
  • Alienware x16 R2
    • Intel Core Ultra 14th Gen CPU & RTX 40 Series GPU
  • Alienware m16 R2
    • Intel Core Ultra H CPU & NVIDIA graphics

The forthcoming Alienware m16 R2 and x16 R2 models are expected to incorporate the Intel Core Ultra processors, a technology associated with the Meteor Lake architecture. Conversely, the naming of the Alienware m18 R2 suggests a less definitive indication towards the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture. Previously, details about the i7-14700HX Intel 14th Gen processor, linked to the Raptor Lake Refresh architecture, emerged through a Geekbench leak. This processor is speculated to feature in the larger 18-inch Alienware gaming laptop, potentially accompanied by an ‘i9-14900HX‘ variant.

These new Alienware laptops are anticipated to be equipped with Nvidia RTX 40 Series graphics, promising high frame rates in the latest gaming titles. Additionally, expect the inclusion of innovative features such as DLSS 3 frame generation and AV1 streaming.

Dell’s anticipated lineup for CES 2024 seems promising, featuring a range of products including the Alienware 32-inch 4K QD-OLED, Alienware 27-inch 360Hz Gaming Monitor, and the Dell UltraSharp 40-inch Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor.

Regarding availability, the leak suggests that the new Dell XPS and Alienware Gaming Laptops equipped with Intel 14th Gen processors will debut on January 11th, 2024. This upcoming release marks an exciting start to the year!
