Star Wars Outlaws System Requirements – Can Your PC Handle the Game?

Scoundrel Kay Vess, along with her companion Nix, makes her debut in Star Wars Outlaws on August 30, 2024. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While PlayStation and Xbox players can enjoy the game without concerns, PC players are eager to know the system requirements before making a purchase. To help with that, we’ve outlined the minimum and recommended system requirements for Star Wars Outlaws in this guide.

In a recent blog post, Ubisoft has shared the official PC specifications and features for Star Wars Outlaws. If you’re wondering whether your PC can handle the game, check out the system requirements below.

Minimum System Requirements for Star Wars Outlaws

Since its official unveiling on June 11, 2023, Star Wars Outlaws has sparked significant discussion, particularly around microtransactions and level gating. However, fans of the Star Wars universe and open-world adventures have been eagerly anticipating this multi-planet journey.

While Ubisoft doesn’t have a strong reputation for game optimization, the minimum specifications for this upcoming open-world title appear to be manageable. One concern is that the developers recommend keeping the upscaler enabled for all presets.

With that in mind, here are the minimum system requirements for Star Wars Outlaws to run at 1080p, 30 FPS, on Low preset with the upscaler set to quality:

  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 6GB / AMD RX 5600 XT 6GB / Intel Arc A750 8GB (ReBAR ON)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 16GB (dual-channel mode)
  • OS: Windows 10/11 with DirectX 12
  • SSD: Storage: 65GB

Although these are listed as the minimum requirements, it seems that a budget or older gaming PC might struggle with this multi-planet adventure. While it’s reasonable to expect a powerful machine for an open-world game, some of the specs seem higher than necessary. This is particularly evident when compared to other PlayStation ports on PC, like God of War, which can run on less demanding hardware.

Recommended System Requirements for Star Wars Outlaws

Before we dive into the recommended system requirements, it’s important to note that the developer advises using upscalers for the best visual and performance balance. Star Wars Outlaws supports NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 (including ray reconstruction, Frame Generation, and Super Resolution), as well as Intel XESS 1.3 and AMD FSR 3.0 (for upscaling and frame generation).

With that in mind, if you want to run Star Wars Outlaws at 1080p, 60 FPS, on High preset with the upscaler set to quality, here are the recommended system requirements:

  • GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 8GB / AMD RX 6700 XT 12GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • RAM: 16GB (dual-channel mode)
  • OS: Windows 10/11 with DirectX 12
  • SSD: Storage: 65GB

If you have a high-end PC and wish to play at higher resolutions and quality settings, you have those options as well. Aside from the CPU and GPU, the specifications for running the game on higher presets remain largely unchanged.

For enthusiasts aiming to run Star Wars Outlaws at 1440p/60 FPS on High preset or those who prefer Ultra 4K settings, check out the image below for the detailed requirements.

While the developer assures that the game performs well on these settings, it’s worth noting that Ubisoft has a track record of delivering games that can be less optimized.

Star Wars Outlaws will include ray-traced global illumination, reflections, and shadows for an enhanced visual experience, as well as support for NVIDIA RTX dynamic illumination (RTXDI). Additionally, Ubisoft has promised an uncapped frame rate mode, 21:9 Cinematic Display Mode, and support for multi-monitor and ultrawide setups.
