As the upcoming Honkai Star Rail 2.1 livestream draws near, HoYoverse has commenced the unveiling of the next batch of character Drip Marketing, commencing with Robin. This confirms that Robin will be featured in the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 version update. Robin’s character is shrouded in mystery within the game’s story, with the Honkai Star Rail 2.0 trailblazing missions depicting her as deceased by the end. This suggests that the forthcoming 2.1 version will shed more light on the circumstances surrounding Robin’s situation. Let’s delve into Robin’s kit as revealed in the Drip Marketing and explore everything we know about her thus far.
HSR Robin Drip Marketing and Voice Actors
Robin’s Drip Marketing portrays her as an elegant and demure young lady. She is a Halovian singer hailing from Penacony, who has risen to cosmic fame. Robin is a member of the Family, and she has been invited to perform at the Charmony festival.
She possesses the ability to “use the power of Harmony to broadcast her music, manifesting resonance among not only her fans but all manner of lifeforms.” This resonance likely refers to her capacity to connect with others on a spiritual level through her music, which could also be the means by which she amplifies the abilities of her allies within the game.
The English voice for the character Robin in Honkai Star Rail will be provided by Alice Himora, renowned for her voice acting roles in Re: Cutie Honey and The Mutant Busters.
Meanwhile, the Japanese voice for Robin will be performed by Nazuka Kaori, who is known for voicing Kiyoko Shimizu in the Haikyu! anime, Hibiki Nekozuka in the Blue Archive game, and Tsubaki Nakatsukasa in the Soul Eater Not! anime.
Additionally, as Robin is a singer within the game’s narrative, all of her vocal performances will be handled by Chevy. Fans can explore more of her songs by visiting Chevy’s YouTube channel.
Release Date for HSR Robin
Robin’s Drip Marketing confirms her inclusion for the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 version, assuming the usual schedule is followed. The Honkai Star Rail 2.2 version is expected to be released around May 5, 2024, contingent upon HoYoverse maintaining the typical 42-day duration for the 2.1 version.
HSR Robin Kit, Path and Damage Type

Robin has been revealed as a 5-star Harmony character possessing the Physical damage type. She is the third consecutive limited 5-star Harmony character, indicating that HoYoverse aims to release at least one Harmony character for each damage type.
According to rumored leaks, Robin’s kit suggests that her Ultimate ability increases the damage output of all allies while also advancing their action turns. However, her Ultimate simultaneously puts her in a “disabled state” and reduces her aggro generation. Furthermore, the leak implies that her Skill will increase the Attack percentage of allies, while her Talent will enhance their Critical Damage and Speed.
The rumors also mention that Robin possesses self-healing abilities and gains energy whenever her allies take their turns.
Is Robin Alive in Honkai Star Rail?

With Robin’s Drip Marketing unveiling happening so soon, the first question that arises is whether she is alive or not. At the conclusion of the Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Trailblazing missions, we learn that Robin has been killed by Something Unto Death, similar to Firefly’s fate, and Sunday is using an impersonator to conceal her disappearance in Penacony.
So, is Robin truly alive? The theory I propose is that Something Unto Death does not actually kill anyone but instead holds them hostage for a period of time, aligning with its in-game abilities. This raises the possibility that the Trailblazers may rescue Robin, Firefly, and other NPCs attacked by Something Unto Death during the 2.1 Trailblazing missions.
However, this is merely a presumption, and we cannot confirm it definitively. Despite Tingyun’s demise, she continues to feature on character banners, so we cannot entirely rule out the possibility of Robin’s death.
